Constitutional Court overruled on Thursday a request for retrial submitted by Arben Frroku�s lawyer leaving in vigor the Court of Appeal of Serious Crimes verdict that condemned him to life imprisonment for the murder of Commissar Dritan Lamaj.
The lawyer�s request for retrial was based on alleged constitutional violations by the High Court that rejected Frroku�s recourse against the Court of Appeal verdict.
He was arrested in Netherlands after fleeing the country a few days ahead of the Court of Appeal verdict and is now waiting to be extradited to Albania.
