Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj had a special meeting one day ago with the representatives of the Arberesh community in Italy. During this meeting in the framework of Scanderbeg�s 550th death anniversary Veliaj expressed the gratitude for the efforts done by the Arberesh during centuries to preserve the Albanian language. At the end he donated �The Key of Tirana� to the Arberesh community representatives as token of appreciation and a reminder of the fact that they are always welcomed in this city.
�We should no longer meet once every 50 years for jubilees but should always maintain the doors opened for each other. That�s why I believe that donating the city�s key to someone is the best way to convey a positive symbol,� declared Veliaj.
