Some 900 medical visits were conducted by the Albanian Armed Forces (AAF) medical staff in the flood-affected areas during December 2017. This figure was labeled as a clear indicator of the assistance given by the AAF to the inhabitants by the Minister of Defense Olta Xhaka during a meeting on Friday with AAF medical teams currently deployed in the flood-affected areas.
Medical assistance to the flood-affected families is a very important element when dealing with civil emergencies. AAF medical staff quickly reacted over the difficult situation generated by last month floods providing assistance to over 900 families.
In spite of the fact that the worst is left behind the AAF doctors and nurses will continue to be deployed in different areas in order to provide assistance whenever it might be needed, declared Xhaka.
