'Sheraton' Hotel leaves Albania. The Albanian Association of Tour Operators & Tourist Agencies (ATOA) made public the news through a press release this Saturday considering this as a very negative development which paradoxically comes at a time when the government has just decided to stimulate the five starts hotels as Sheraton by abolishing the VAT.
"Sheraton Hotel is a very serious name. Sheraton was in Albania since 2003 while few capitals in the region had branded hotels of this level," underlined the Albanian Association of Tour Operators & Tourist Agencies.
"We are not sure what role the government could play to curb the escape of the only brand hotel in the country, but we are confident that it could not make the indifferent but be one of the main players on the negotiating table. Because before asking for more new brand hotels, we need to keep those we currently have," ends the statement.
