Public administration is expected to become subject to vetting since the early days of 2018. Media sources report than an 8-points plan has been already drafted from the government and will be implemented by the Department of Public Administration (DPA).

Some 85.000 employees of the public administration will be vetted for their integrity and honesty in the framework of the fight against corruption.

Those running for a job position in the public administration will be the first to be vetted. Then it will be the turn of the Albanian embassies around the world to become subject to vetting.

The governments plan foresees also the continuation of institutions merge and the avoidance of functional superposition between existing structures.
