The Albanian State Police presented new details on Wednesday related to the case of the arrest of a group of criminals under the accusation of participation in drug trafficking.
This case is considered to be more important than the respective latest ones due to the fact that a part of port employees and police officers are involved. The exact portion of drugs that was transported from the port of Durresi with destination Ancona, was 2.5 tons of cannabis.
This operation was conducted in complete cooperation between the Albanian State Police and the �INTERFORZA� (Communication Office of the Italian Police in Tirana). The explicit details of the operation are presented through the following chronicle:
13.01.2017 � �INTERFORZA� informs the General Department of Albanian State Police of the sequestration 2 tons and 530 kg of cannabis in the port of Ancona in 11.01.2017, carried by a truck with the license plate AA 846 GJ and AER 357, driven by Albanian citizen Dhimo Koraj.
09.01.2017 � The specific truck had departed from the port of Durresi with destination Bari.
Besides the arrested truck Driver Dhimo Koraj, the following citizens were arrested:
04.02.2017 � Skender Siqeca, 53 years old and Arbi Mustafa 34 years old under the accusation of cooperation in narcotics trafficking.
05.12.2017 � Agron Kapllani 51 years old , former police officer under the accusation of cooperation in narcotics trafficking. Gezim Dervishi 59 years old, former specialist of police service�s dogs in the Police Border Station of Durresi, under the accusation of cooperation in narcotics trafficking. Festim Lelaj 47 years old , specialist for the investigation od crimes in the Police Department of Fier.
06.12.2017 � Altin Katundi 50 years old, under the service of Costums Official in the port in Durresi.
06.12.2017 � Mikail Hila 28 years old, accused of cooperation in narcotics trafficking.
07.06.2017 � Euron Hoti 35 years old, accused of narcotics trafficking.
21.06.2017 - Malton Lleshi 34 years old, accused of cooperation in narcotics trafficking.
28.11.2917 � Aurel Lazaj 32 years old.
All the above implicated citizens are going to be judged by the respective state authorities in the following days.
