Darzeze Village Bridge Collapses, Inhabitants Isolated

Some 2000 inhabitants of Darezeze village, part of Fieri district, remains isolated on Sunday due to the collapse of a bridge as consequence of the massive floods. The bridget, which had not been subject to repairs since more than 30 years, is the only way that connects this village with Fier.

Fier prefect, Balki Baka declared that the works for the bridge�s temporary repair are already underway while adding that situation in general is gradually returning to normality.

Fier was among the most affected cities by the flooding generates due to the heavy rains of these last days. Many inhabitants were forced to abandon their houses and were urgently evacuated by the army�s troops in order to avoid any possible loss of human life.
