President Ilir Meta urges to the Albanian politics and civic society to support orphans. Speaking in a ceremony organized on Wednesday on occasion of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the first orphanage in Albania he defined the orphans as the society�s most fragile strata while asking for a major support by the state�s institutions.

�Joint efforts are needed by the state�s institutions and civic society for orphans� integration. They should grow up as healthy and well-educated individuals feeling the state�s hand in the shoulder. All necessary steps should be taken by the law� enforcement bodies in order to prevent their exploitation and gradual involvement in the organized crime world,� said Meta.
