President Ilir Meta received in a meeting the head of EU Delegation to Albania, Ambassador Romana Vlahutin. He discussed the possibility of launching negotiations for Albania�s EU accession within next year as a very important step for Albania and its future. Meta underlined the indispensability to continue with the key reforms, particularly regarding the implementation of justice reform and strengthening of the rule of law, with focus on the fight against organized crime and corruption.
Meantime, the President held a separate meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Tirana, Hidayet Bayraktar in which they estimated the traditional relations and excellent partnership between the two countries and expressed the will to further strengthen these ties in the future in all areas of interest for both countries and peoples.
President Meta also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the frame of NATO and war on international terrorism.
