Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj labeled the youths� education as the best way to address the poverty issue. He made this declaration during an activity organized on Tuesday in �Ardian Klosi� school in the framework of the International Day against Poverty while emphasizing the numerous initiatives undertaken by the municipality to provide assistance to the people in need.

�A series of initiatives to provide assistance to those in need have been taken by the Tirana Municipality. Numerous social soup-kitchens and professional education courses have been opened all over Tirana as part of our continuous fight against poverty. However, we should all focus even more on the people�s education. It is better to teach someone how to catch a fish than to serve him a fish on the plate,� said Veliaj.

The mayor also declared that youths� support will continue through scholarships and professional education courses enabling a better future for those more in need.
