A lawyer was arrested on Sunday by Tirana police on grounds of fraud. Myrteza Myftari, 56, deceived the relatives of a man who died in a car accident preventing them to obtaining the financial indemnification for the health damage.

�Lawyer Myftari arrest was based on a complaint filed by the victim�s relatives. According to them the defendant illicitly appropriated a sum of ALL 2.722.424 given as indemnification for the health damage to the relatives of F.R. instead of handing it over to the family,� informed the police.

The lawyer will now face trial on grounds of abuse of office and fraud.
