Prime Minister, Edi Rama opened the door on Tuesday to the Democrat leader, Lulzim Basha for collaboration in the spirit of May 18th agreement. During a meeting with Socialist MPs Rama expressed the majoritys willingness to interact with opposition in the interest of the citizens.

We are totally inclined toward a cooperation with opposition in the spirit of May 18th agreement, focusing entirely on the citizens interests. Of course, the oppositions request to address specific issues related to the electoral process is within the May 18th parameters. On the other side Socialist Party (SP) cant be seen as a client that sits on the table and agrees with the menu. SP should be seen as partner, a very important one for this negotiations table existence. As such SP has the full willingness to open a discussion for further improvement of the electoral code but in the framework of a thorough concept of the government-opposition relation, declared the Premier.

He also stressed that the fact that SP and DP are considered as the dialogues axis this does not exclude the other political forces currently part of the countrys opposition
