The Regional Economic Zone commitment undertaken during Trieste Summit must be implemented. The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati stressed this fact during a working breakfast of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Western Balkans countries on Thursday with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn.

The discussion over the implementation of these commitments, in particular the Action Plan for the establishment of the Regional Economic Zone (REZ), as well as the discussions in the following meeting organized by Prime Minister Rama with regional Prime Ministers last August Durres were the highlights of this meeting.

Minister Bushati appreciated the role and commitment of Commissioner Hahn to set up the Regional Economic Zone, while adding that Albania sees this idea as a mitigating path for the country�s European project.

Speaking about structuring regional co-operation, which has expanded significantly in recent years, Bushati stressed the importance of a fair and equitable distribution of regional organizations' headquarters in all countries.

He also put the emphasis on the need of an activities agenda in the framework of region�s countries cooperation in all levels.
