The first session of the 9th parliamentary legislature begins. The Socialist MP, Besnik Bare presides this session that started with the national anthem. In a brief speech Bare underlined that countrys interests stand above everything, even above partisan and personal interests.

The Parliaments three youngest MPs, Anduel Xhindi, Izmira Ulqinaku and Kejdi Mehmetaj will temporarily conduct the secretariats functions.

Two parliamentary sessions are expected to be held this Saturday. The first constitutive session will serve for the new mandates verification, a process that will be carried on by a commission set up by the parliament.

Meantime at 18:00 Gramoz Rui, whose candidacy has been presented by Prime Minister, Edi Rama as the new Speaker of Parliament, is expected to be voted.

Democratic Party (DP) and Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), the new parliamentary opposition, have forewarned their vote against Rucis election in this post.

On the other side Premier Rama gave clear dispositions to the Socialist MPs to attend the session and support Ruis candidacy that has been widely attacked by DP and ex-persecuted exponents.
