The oppositions leader, Lulzim Basha defines pure demagogy the Prime Minister Edi Rama declaration that drugs smugling problem will soon be resolved. Through a press release on Thursday he said that the Premier announced an imaginary victory on view of the fact that no result has been registered so far.

The man who denied for mor than 3 years the existence of cannabis phenomenon in Albania while blessing its transformation into drugs main country of origin in Europe suddenly declared that the problem is being solved. No one has been arrested, no drug smuggler has been discovered, no drugs trafficking organization has been destroyed, no concrete result has been achieved. Yet the Premier forewarns the victory of a fight that never happened. He can no longer hide the fact that narcotics cultivation and organized crime have turned into a political problem for EU countries governments forcing them to reconsider the restoration of visas regime with Albania. On the other side he promotes Gramoz Ruci, an individual that has been refused entry to the US since 2005 due to involvement in organized crime and drug trafficking. Fatmir Xhafaj whose brother has been condemned for drugs smuggling in Italy, is appointed as Minister of Interior. This is a dangerous game aimed to encourage the drugs smugglers and criminals while decouraging the honest police officers, said Basha.

He warned that this game would have severe consequences for the country while adding that opposition will keep fighting against the evil that has captured the Albanian society.
