A quantity of 222 electronic ankle bracelets, previously reported as missing, was returned to the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday by the private operatorsďż˝ consortium.

The electronic bracelets, whose value goes up to EUR 2 Million, had been given back to the private contractor, a merger of economic operators, in violation of the law.

The firm handed over the bracelets to the Ministry of Justice Secretary General and now a work-group established by the ministry will verify whether the equipment technically matches the characteristics set out in the contract.
