World Ranger 1st Congress Takes Place in Tirana

World Ranger Day was commemorated last night with a special event organized in the premise of the National Historic Museum in Tirana. This meeting was organized in occasion of the Rangers� 1st Congress and finalized a series of activities organized during the last week in the framework of the nature� protection.

The Rangers Day celebrations in Albania took place throughout the week from July 23 to July 31 July in 12 districts under the motto "I want to be a Ranger", focusing mainly on children, part of summer schools and the community living around the protected areas.

These activities were organized by the Protected Areas National Agency and the National Parks Association with the support of NaturAl project, while the financial endorsement holds the signature of European Union.

World Ranger Day and commemorate the rangers� indefatigable work and the important role in the entire world in defense of the natural and cultural heritage values.

This day was celebrated for the first time 10 years ago and is a unique chance to support rangers� vital work and their sacrifices during the everyday�s activity. Their life is often at risk due to the unexpected encounters with wild animals or the extreme weather conditions.
