The National Civil Emergencies raised the alarm on Wednesday over the forest fires situation in the entire territory. Tens of hectares of forests, pastures and bushes have been burned due the massive flames encouraged by the strong winds. Some 18 wildfires were registered during the last 24 hours in a number of districts.

Over 130 firefighters, voluntaries and Army�s forces battled for hours with the flames aiming to prevent situation escalation. The broken terrain made it even more difficult for the firefighters t o extinguish the fires thus the helicopters intervention became necessary in some districts.

The Civil Emergencies renewed the appeal addressed to the citizens to immediately report any sign of blaze in the emergency numbers or the police numbers.
