Tirana, Macedonian Citizen Arrested for Fraud

A 40-years old Macedonian citizen was arrested on Friday in Tirana by the economic anticrime officers for alleged fraud of some citizens. The Macedonian, named as Irfan Ahmeti, used to promise their seasonal employment in Germany in exchange for a sum of EUR 2.000.

Three young boys were lured by this deceptive scheme and even agreed to pay the ticket to Germany after being contacted online by Ahmeti. But after their arrival in Germany he did not responded to their repeated phone calls.

They returned to Albania and immediately denounced this fraud in the economic anticrime leading to the arrest of the 40-years old Ahmeti.

The police suspect that the number of those deceived by Ahmeti may be even higher but they have not yet denounced this fact. The inquiry for a full discovery of his criminal activity is still ongoing.
