Some 20 people have been stopped by the police during the last 24-hours on grounds of energy theft. This was the result of a raid undertaken by the Task Force in national scale focused on the energy theft episodes.

An Electricity Power Distribution Operator (OSHEE) employee was arrested along with the owner of a private business in Fier on charges of energy theft.

Two OSHEE subscribers, identified as F.K. and S.K, were stopped in Burrel during this raid by the Task Force. Meantime the police officer S.M. was stopped by Kukes police on suspicions of energy theft.

Episodes of energy theft leading to more individuals detainment were also discovered in Tirana.

The Task Force raid focused on the energy theft is still ongoing.
