Numerous citizens that chose to spend the Sunday in Durresi beaches remained blocked in traffic. The large flux of vehicles caused traffic congestion in Tirana - Durres highway. Despite the massive presence of police patrols and their efforts to solve the situation the line of vehicles waiting under the burning sun went up to 7 km.

The Road Police addressed an appeal to these citizens to avoid using the highway if traveling toward a different destination than the coastal area. Citizens are advised to use the Tirana � Ndroq - Plepa road axis if traveling toward South Albania.

Meantime according to the police the situation in Lezha - Shengjin and Shkoder - Velipoja road axes is within normal parameters.
