Durres, Tuberculosis a Growing Threat

Tuberculosis is becoming a serious threat in Durres city this summer. Citizens of Nishtulla in Durres declared on Saturday that they are at risk from this virus due to so many people infected in the area.
They raise the alarm that this disease in this city is becoming alarming and the number of people affected increased recently.
"Please isolate the seek people and cure them," declared a citizen of Roma Community.
The problem is accepted even by the doctors in Durresi. They declared that the concern is real and the number of people affected is rising.
"We have the situation in control so far. More than 70 persons were transported in specialized institutions and other are in Durresi hospital to take the necessary medical help. We are doing other controls," declared doctor Erjola Shehu.
Tuberculosis is an airborne, bacterial infection, easily spread by coughing, and it can be fatal.
It often lies dormant in the body for many years, and most of the 11 million people in the United States who have the infection are not even aware of it. The only vaccine has limited effectiveness.
