The candidate for the post of Democratic Party (DP) chair, Eduard Selami officially requested on Monday the electoral process postponement.

�I met with the actual leader, Lulzim Basha and made a friendly remark to him in relation to the electoral race. My remark was related to the delayed opening of this process. Thus I suggested the process postponement, on view of the fact that July 22 leaves no much space for campaign. Basha replied by saying that it�s up to the organizing sector to decide on this issue,� said Selami, adding that Basha should had already resigned from this position.

He expressed the firm determination to run for this position of DP chair because this was a race within the family, a race based on visions.

�The process should not be blocked, despite the fact that there�s room for improvement. Process obstruction would push DP toward an unpleasant spiral,� said Selami.
