The Democratic Party (DP) leader, Lulzim Basha saluted on Wednesday the Democrat candidate for Kavaja mayor victory. Through a message in the social networks Basha defined this victory as the starting point for country�s rise.

�Wonderful news comes from the freedom and democracy capital. The Democrat candidate, Isa Sakja is city�s new mayor. I extend my most heartfelt congratulations to the Kavaja citizens that voted against crime and corruption. Albania�s rise will start from this city symbol of resistance, confrontation and victory,� wrote the Democrat leader.

The Democrat candidate, Isa Sakja, won a 28 votes advantage on the Socialist Party (SP) candidate, Dorjan Murati.
