The polling stations for the June parliamentary elections in Albania were closed at 8 pm while the police forces have been deployed to deal with the transportation of the ballot boxes to the vote counting centers.

In this regard, the Minister of Interior Dritan Demiraj called on the state police to rigorously implement the law during the transportation and submission of the ballot boxes.

According to Demiraj, this is a very delicate and controversial process so he sought maximum cautiousness during this phase.

�State Police forces are aware of their obligations and responsibilities during this process. Therefore, they should respect the law and avoid any possible incident,� Demiraj highlighted in a press statement.
