Berat with Highest Percentage of Women Voters, Fier Comes Last

After the closing of the voting process across the country, the Central Elections Commission (CEC) has published the participation of citizens in it. According to the figures CEC provided, there was a 43.88 percent voter turnout, or about 9 percent less than in 2013. The Commission also published the participation of women in these elections. The region with the highest participation of women in these elections was Berat, with 38.87 percent. Meantime, Fieri had the lowest participation, 0.7 percent.
