The former coach of the Albanian national football team, the Italian Gianni de Biasi headed polls Sunday to cast his first vote as an Albanian citizen.

He is registered as a resident in Municipality Unit no.3 in Tirana and he cast his ballot in one of the voting centers set up in this unit.

The coach Gianni de Biasi was given Albanian citizenship and passport in April 2015, few months before Albania achieved the historic qualification to European Football Championship �France 2016� where Albania was highly praised for its surprising and positive performance.

De Biasi decided few days ago to submit his resignation from the post of Albania�s national football team so Albanian Football Federation has now launched talks with other candidates to replace him.
