The Judges Association and Union presented on Thursday their assessments to the Constitutional Court, following a complaint on vetting law. The Constitutional Court will now consider the complaint based only on the submitted documents and pairs assessments.

June 22 marks the deadline for assessments presentation while no date has been defined yet by the Constitutional Court for the complaints review session.

The Judges Association and Union have joined forces presenting a complaint against some specific articles of the vetting and some point of two basic laws of the justice reform. Their complaint is related to the justice system governing bodies and judges status.

One of the most delicate points, part of this complaint, is related to the justice system people figure assessment. According to the judges the inclusion in this process of people suspected of ties with organized crime may lead to abusive decisions by the Vetting Commission.
