Some 39 Kg of Cannabis Sativa were seized on Wednesday by the border police in Kakavija during a smuggling attempt.

Three people, two of which carrying backpacks, were seen by the police while moving in proximity of the border area. They managed to elude capture by immediately fleeing the area abandoning the cannabis sativa filled backpacks.

The narcotics quantity was seized in quality of material proof while the police opened an inquiry aiming to define its origin and destination. The police work for the identification and capture of three narcotics smugglers is still ongoing.
