The technical Minister of Justice, Gazment Bardhi ordered on Monday the immediate dismissal of Kruja and Vlora prisons directors. Their dismissal was ordered on grounds of abandonment of duty and institution�s ill-management.

The Ministry of Justice informed through a short press release that Vlora�s prison director, Bashkim Habilaj did not show up in office since several days thus was deemed responsible of abandonment of duty. Meantime the ministry argued that the Kruja prison director was related to the inefficiency to manage his subordinates allowing the smuggling of a multitude of forbidden objects and alcoholic drinks to the prisoners.

According to the ministry this way of doing is a severe breach of the security and the internal regulation in this institution.
