The Albanian National Hero, Gjergj Kastrioti (Scanderbeg) may soon become the subject of a Hollywood-produced movie. This project is based on the initiative is the former-US congressman with Albanian origins, Joe DioGuardi.

In a statement to the media he said the screenplay for this movie focused on the great Albanian hero has been already finished and he wants to entrust this project to the best Hollywood directors.

�We will show the Albanians� real image to America. We have just a short-concept, while someone is analyzing Scanderbeg�s life during a period of time between 1440 and 1445, when the Albanian hero was in the height of his power,� said DioGuardi. 

He added that this was his long-standing dream, which would surely be a motive of immense joy for every Albanian citizen.

�If you have a good script and apply in Hollywood you will be financially endorsed. I am not doing this for myself but for every Albanian,� stressed DioGuardi.

According to the former congressman the famous actor Russell Crowe would be one of the most suitable actors to play Skanderbeg.
