The Vice-President of European People�s Party (EPP), David McAllister, whose name became the symbol of the agreement that ended the political crisis, saluted the successful conclusion of the negotiations. Through a message on Thursday he expressed his joy for the positive output of the EU and US joint efforts to mediate a compromise solution.

�I am highly pleased that the EU-US joint efforts to play a mediating role during the political crisis in Albanian ended successfully. The main message given through this agreement is that dialogue between majority and opposition leads to a stable solution� wrote McAllister.

The high EU official was personally committed toward a solution of the political crisis in Albania through a package proposal that bears his name.�
