Some 44 kg of marijuana were seized on Sunday by the Carabineers in Reggio Emilia leading to the arrest of a 28-years old Albanian.  A routine inspection by the Carabineers in a garage was finalized with the seizure of this large quantity of narcotics whose value is calculated around EUR 500.000.

According to the Italian inquirers the Albanian, identified as Sabri Kalaj, was the head of a drugs dealing network.Three Italian citizens, whose names have not yet been made public, were arrested along with the Albanian emigrant.  

Preliminary inquiry by the Italian police raised suspicions that Albania may be the country of origins of the seized narcotics quantity.
