Ombudsman Institution published on Friday a list of 10 attorneys that fulfill the criteria to be submitted to further parliamentary procedures as candidates for the High Judicial Council (HJC).

Their assessment was done through a rating system drafted by an Ad-Hoc independent committee.

The law states that only one of the names in this list should be elected as HJC member by the Parliament with 3/5th of votes.

The final assessment placed Sinan Tafaj in the first place on this list followed by Arben Prifti, Fatos Lazimi, Sokol Lamaj, Genti Sinani, Arben Vani, Alban Toro, Saimir Vishaj, Fatmira Luli and Gëzim Allaraj. 

The Law on the High Judicial Council foresees its composition by 11 members, 6 coming from the judiciary system and 5 others should be lawyers not part of the judiciary system.
