Spanish zarzuela, this magic form of musical theater, which intertwines music, songs and instruments, will touch for the first time Albania through the National Opera and Ballet Theater (NOBT) soloists and orchestra’s performance. Some of the opera’s most know names will bring on Saturday evening in the Orthodox Church Cathedral under the direction of Ricardo Casero this flaming Mediterranean passion that along with flamengo is deemed as essential part of the Spanish culture identity.

The Spanish music director, Casero, very enthusiastic about the upcoming performance in Tirana, narrated that zarzuela is one of the genres that is followed by the major number of viewers in Spain. He said that this genre is entirely dedicated to the love, passion and beauty, while adding that this culture exists since 400 years in Spain.

“Zarzuela belongs to a lyrical musical genre, whose sounds and words are entirely dedicated to love, passion and beauty. This 400-years old culture portfolio is filled with treasures that made my choice of pieces for this program highly difficult. We will present the best elements of this culture in Tirana,” said the Spanish music director.

The lovers of this kind of music in Albania will be given the chance to purchase the tickets near the National Theater due to the NOBT reconstruction works.
