Is former leader of the opposition, Sali Berisha a potential candidate for the next President of the Republic?

Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta give a clear answer on Wednesday: No.

Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) did not have a name for the first round of the election for the next President, despite the fact that Parliament will gather on Wednesday evening on this issue.

Speaking few hours ahead the Parliamentary Session Meta clarified that the ruling coalition has no name.

"We are trying to find a consensual name with the opposition. We have no name for the next President. We urged for dialogue," said Meta.
