The Socialist Party (SP) and Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) addressed a letter to the Central Elections Commission (CEC) on Wednesday asking for the coalitions registration deadline postponement.

The letter, signed by the Head of SP Parliamentary Group, Gramoz Ruci and the Head of SMI Parliamentary Group, Luan Rama, comes only a few hours ahead of the end of legal deadline.

The origin of this letter is the fact that two main parties of the ruling coalition have yet decided if they will race together as a coalition in the upcoming legislative elections of June 18.

On the other side opposition forewarned that it will not register in CEC and will not race on June 18 elections if the request for a caretaker government is not accepted.
