The leader of the opposition, Lulzim Basha participated on Wednesday in the Congress of the European People's Party held in Malta.

During his speech in the Congress, Basha underlined the fact that the opposition is protesting for free and fair elections, a necessity according to him for a country which aspirate to be part of the EU.

He made clear that free and fair elections cannot be realized with the actual government but only with a caretaker one.

"We are protesting since February 18 because in Albania politics is strongly connected with organized crime. We cannot have free and democratic elections without a caretaker government which should implement decriminalization," underlined Basha.
