State Inspectorate of Environment and Forests (SIEF) imposed on ALL 1 Million fine on Alb-Petrol based on the high level of environmental pollution in Gorisht, part of Vlora district. 

SIEF ordered the immediate suspension of the activity until situation normalization. According to the environment inspectors the oil extraction in this area has generated a large scale ecologic damage.  

“A fine of All 1 Million was imposed on Alb-Petrol, followed by the immediate suspension of the activity until situation normalization. State Police and Municipal Police were informed over this decision and will now monitor its implementation,” declared the head of SIEF, Ilinden Maze 

Environmental Pollution in this area was denounced by the inhabitants, which complained over the grounds pollution and the contaminated water.
