The leader of opposition, Lulzim Basha clarified on Friday the voices over a possible boycott of the Parliamentary Elections of June 18.

Speaking inside the so called 'Freedom’s Tent’, pitched in front of Premier’s office, he declared that there would be no boycott by Democratic Party (DP) but the opposition has only one request: free and fair electoral process organized by a caretaker government.

“Those that lay the stress on the boycott are totally mistaken. An ultimatum signed by the opposition’s parties will be submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) demanding free and fair election. There will be no boycott, only free and fair elections and a new republic,” said Basha.

He emphasized the opposition’s determination to reach the desired objective, a caretaker government and free elections, not influenced by the drugs money.

“Every backward step from this request would be seen as an act of treason toward the Albanian citizens”, said Basha.
