Albania will have for the first time a number of tour guides, certified by the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Enterprises (MEDTTE). A total of 159 certificates were given to the first group of Albanian tour guides that will from now operate in the entire territory, in accordance to the law for tourism. 

Minister Milva Ikonomi declared during the certificates issuing ceremony that this is an important moment that solve a problem that existed since a long period of time.

“Since today you will become the possessors of a personal badge, issued by the respective authority in accordance to the law. This authority will also promote in the incoming months your professional qualification through a series of training sessions,” said Ikonomi. 

The names of first 159 official tour guides will now be published in this ministry official site giving a chance to different agencies to address them at anytime if they need a specialist of this sector.
