Minister of Justice, Petrit Vasili declared on Monday that the concerns over International Monitoring Operation (IMO) in a letter addressed to the foreign ambassadors are remediable. According to him these issues resolution guarantee a correct communication between IMO and the Albanian institutions.
“I raised a number of concerns on different issues that in my opinion are totally remediable. These concerns introduce the process in a path of constitutional clarity, defining the communication rules between IMO and the Albanian institutions. My letter brings these concerns to attention, while the reflections are not up to me. I have the legal obligation to evidence these facts when noticed,” said Vasili.
His letter, addressed to the ambassadors on February 20, stated that the role of Council of Ministers general secretary in this process did not comply with the Constitution, due to the fact that he can’t be the one to order the international observers appointment.
