10 Tons Drugs Seized in Ancona, Albanian Arrested

10 tons of drugs were sequestrated on Sunday by the Italian police in the port of Ancona, leading to the arrest of an Albanian citizen. The large narcotics quantity was uncovered by chance by inside a truck loaded with iron bars during documents verification. A sudden reaction by the anti-narcotics drugs urged the police officer to conduct a minute inspection of the vehicle. 

Sources of the Italian media report that the drug was being transported to a northern city and would than divided in nearly 10 million doses to be sold separately in this part of the country. 

The arrested Albanian name has not been revealed due to inquiry’s secrecy. Italian police is conducting an investigation aiming to uncover the entire network behind this drug smuggling attempt.
