Same as the American Ambassador, Donald Lu, the socialist chairman of Legal Issues, Public Administration and Human Rights Committee, Fatmir Xhafaj considered illegal the election process on the members of the Judicial Appointments Council.

In a letter sent to the High Court and the Attorney General, Xhafaj underlines that General Prosecution and the High Council of Justice violates the Constitution.

"This means that even the results of the election of the Judicial Appointments Council is anti-constitutional," said Xhafaj.
