The leader of Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha exchanged ideas and opinions with youths in Vlora during a meeting on Tuesday. He called on the participants to join the February 18 protest in Tirana urging them to raise the voice for the multitude of economic difficulties experienced due to the left wing government. In his speech Basha emphasized the fact that this protest will become the starting point of a popular movement that will be finalized with positive changes.

“All those that waited in vain for a positive change, the opening of 300.000 new job-places, free medical care and affordable fees in the universities should join the February 18 protest. Citizens are perfectly aware of the difficult economic situation experienced by the country during these 4 years. Only a small bunch of people with close relations to the executive enjoys the “Renaissance’s” benefits while citizens are forced to pay higher taxes and expensive energy bills,” said the opposition’s leader.

Basha stressed that the change may come only through citizens’ courageous reaction, defining this element the key force behind every major movement.
