‘The implementation of the judicial reform clears Albania’s path toward the European integration’. This message was given by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini during an interview given on Friday to the ‘Voice of America’. She urged the Albanian political class to show unity in this important reform implementation. 

“EU considers of vital importance the continuation of the same unity shown during judicial reform adoption even in the implementation process. I am confident that Albanian institutions will find the strength to do so, on view of the importance of this reform for the citizens. This process is crucial for the opening of accession negotiations,” declared the chief of EU foreign policy. 

Speaking over the difficult relations between political actors in Albania Mogherini expressed her hope that this unification will be based on a sense of national unity. 

“I know that this is not the favorite sport in Albania, however it’s a necessity that serves to the citizens' interest,” declared Mogherini.
