State Police General Director for Security, Altin Qato unveiled through a press release on Friday new details over the money robbery from two armored vehicles one day ago. He emphasized the fact that private security company in charge of money transportation violated a number of procedures.

“The vehicles used for the transportation of large sums of money had been modified and did not comply with the requested criteria, despite being deems as fit for this service by the vehicles’ circulation permits issued by the respective directory. 

Both vehicles were not equipped with surveillance cameras. One of the drivers was not in possession of a proper authorization for such service. Security guards failed to use their weapons to prevent the robbery,” declared Qato, adding that both vehicles used by the security company were not certified for this process.
