“Prime Minister, Edi Rama fears the free and fair elections”. This explicit declaration was made on Wednesday by the leader of opposition, Lulzim Basha during a meeting with Democratic Party (DP) structures in Fier. Speaking about the forewarned protest of February 18 in Tirana Basha urged to the citizens to join forces putting an end to PM Rama’s dictate.

“PM Rama fears the free and fair elections, thus maintains a Minister of Interior that is repeatedly indicated by the international partners as someone linked with criminal organizations. Rama rejects the idea of electronic voting because his only purpose is elections’ manipulation.

The choices that lay ahead of him are only two: counting of ballots through electronic system will be accepted, otherwise citizens will take the country’s fate in their hands,” said Basha, adding that a great decision will be taken on February 18 restoring citizens’ freedom and guaranteeing free and fair elections.
