In a brief speech during this fleet presentation in Durres on Tuesday Prime Minister, Edi Rama said that these escavators will create the core of the drainage and irrigation channels systematic cleaning enterprises in a number of city halls.

“This fleet of excavators is a completely new investment in the agriculture sector, part of the left wing executive objective to avoid lands’ flooding. Investments in this sector are tripled. 31 new excavators have been given to the farmers in a two year period of time, compared to a total of 56 excavators that arrived in Albania from 1003 until 2001. Over 3.1 million of m/3 of garbage and sediments were removed during this period. This extraordinary volume of work aimed to avoid farmers’ stressing by the risk of floods due to the rainfalls,” said PM Rama.
