A joint anti-drug raid coded “Triss”, conducted by Durres and Shijak police on Tuesday, led to the arrest of 5 persons and the seizure of nearly half tons of cannabis sativa. Adem Laze, 47,  Elisar Barashima, 29, Mustafa Sala, 22, Gjon Syziu, 23, Tanush Rica, 23, were arrested in flagrance while in possession of 500 kg of Cannabis Sativa. Meantime T.D. 29, was declared wanted by the police.

The arrests took place in different areas of Durresi district while the dealers where transporting the large narcotics quantity. A sudden inspection of a ‘Audi’ vehicle, platted AA  682ES and driven by T.D. a “Mercedes Benz” vehicle, platted AA 579, driven by Elisar Bashima, and a “Mercedes Benz” vehicle, platted AA 036 OS, driven by Gjon Syziu unveiled the large narcotics quantity. 4 vehicles and 12 mobile phones were also seized in quality of material proof.

Durresi prosecution opened an inquiry aiming the identification of narcotics quantity origin and destination.
